Last month, I wrote a post about cheating and how it is under the umbrella of non-monogamy. Using the metaphor of family, I titled the post, Cheating is the Red-headed Stepchild of Non-monogamy.

As anticipated (which is why I started the post asking red heads not to be offended), there was offense. Because ‘red-headed stepchild’ is the ‘N word’ of the orange-follicled minority.
