Profile #5: The Heretic
5’s are a beautiful, energetic Design
I have a lot of experience with people who have 5’s in their main Profile of Human Design. Chances are that all of us have a ‘5’ somewhere in our Design. Mine is my Design Moon, Gate 4.5, the Gate of ‘Youthful Folly’ — Formulization, “The energy to beguile and succeed despite ignorance. Freedom from retribution.” That energy in me, being in an undefined Ajna, I only have access to it through others or through a transit.
Line 5 — ‘Seduction’, Allowing others to assume responsibility as a shield against punishment.
The high expression: The potential to succeed through the understanding of others.
The low expression: The potential for cynicism that comes with always having to acknowledge the understanding of others.
And, thinking back over the posts of the last couple of years I have to laugh — this energy is definitely there in my words, both success and cynicism. If I got a nickel every time I spoke/wrote variants of the words “I understand”, I’d be a millionaire, but I’m not so, #cynical because always understanding often isn’t worth much.
In that definition is a truth about 5’s: Allowing the other’s perception to be a shield for oneself. 5’s are said to be Generals behind a curtain who come out when they’re needed…
